In all my years of backpacking in the Sierra's, Polly Dome Lake stands out as one of the most beautiful and serene of all the higher elevation lakes.
There is no established trail to the lake so a difficult overland trek is necessary (but well worth the effort).
The sunrise one morning was absolutely incredible. A roll of film was used up before breakfast.
